Hey piano player!
So here's my official introduction:
My name's Warren Lee. I'm a first-generation Korean American born and raised in California. I currently reside in sunny Southern California with my wife and 2 pups: a crazy Corgi named Winston and my lovable old-timer Kasper (Corgi mix who was born in 2007!).

At my essence, I'm an introverted-extrovert of a bookworm who is obsessed with learning.
A side passion of mine is studying languages. I'm currently working on Korean, Chinese and Spanish. My goal is to become fluent in all 3 (right now I'm focused on Korean).
I like to keep my daily schedule jam-packed, so the weekends are "family" time - you'll usually find my wife and I at a dog-friendly establishment with good food and good drinks (we're foodie fanatics and alocoholi - I mean ... wannabe cocktail connoisseurs).
We also love to travel whenever the opportunity presents itself.

MY PIANO BACKGROUND
__________________
I graduated with a Master's Degree in Piano Performance, got halfway through a Piano Doctorate program (yes they have those) before I decided it wasn't for me.
That led me to founding my piano studio in circa 2010? Maybe? I routinely forget how many years I've been married so I'm pretty bad with timeframes
Fast forward to now, my mission is to share everything I've learned on this journey. My goal is to provide you with all the tools you need to succeed at piano - and beyond!
Everything I share with you has been field-tested and time-proven: I have over a decade of experience teaching complete beginners (from as young as 6 years of age) so I'm confident I can solve any problem you have.
Lastly, here's what to expect for future newsletters. I might have an announcement now and then - usually a new product or free materials - but generally the weekly newsletter will be segments of future blog posts.

PHILOSOPHY
__________________
Rhapsody: a one-movement work that is episodic yet integrated, free-flowing in structure, featuring a range of highly contrasted moods, colour and tonality. An air of spontaneous inspiration and a sense of improvisation make it freer in form than a set of variations.
This is our teaching style in a nutshell. It's important that every student feels free to expressive themselves and learn at their own pace. This approach works especially well for beginning students, a one-size-fits-all approach only blocks imagination. At every lesson, we encourage each student's unique personality and style to shine through.
We don’t focus on theory (we teach it as we go along) and instead concentrate on playing real music as much as possible. Learning to play the piano is like learning how to ride a bike - through action (hands) and experience (trial and error) Even if you're a complete beginner, you will play and read music from the very first lesson.
